MERCYLESS

Frequently asked questions

Fast answers.

The essentials for creating a room, surviving a match, recovering a seat, and installing the Android preview.

Do I need an account?

No. Choose a name, create or join a private room, and keep the room code among your players.

Can two people play?

Yes. A room needs 2–10 total seats. One human can also start with bots. In a two-player match, Reverse behaves like Skip and returns play to its owner.

Can I draw even when I have a playable card?

Yes. Drawing is voluntary. Each click adds one card, does not auto-play it, and does not end your turn unless you are accepting an active draw stack.

Can Android and browser players share a room?

Yes. Both clients use the same server and five-character room code.

What happens if I refresh or lose connection?

The same device can normally reclaim its seat for 100 seconds using a private reconnect token. Do not clear site or app data during that window.

Why does the first room action take time?

The realtime server uses free hosting and may be asleep. The client waits up to about 75 seconds for it to wake.

Does voice chat record me?

The application does not intentionally record or store voice. Browser and Android voice use WebRTC peer connections and require microphone permission and network transport.

Why does Android warn about the APK?

The preview is distributed outside the Play Store, so Android shows a sideload warning. Use only the official Android page and compare the displayed build details.

Do I need a new room after the game ends?

No. The host can start a rematch in the existing room while it remains available.

Is this an official Mattel game?

No. Mercyless is an independently developed fan-made project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Mattel.
